Police Lights Sold at Auction — 10 On Your Side Success!
I recently got a phone call from a man in Portsmouth named Dan who bought 9 palates of police car lights at a City of Norfolk auction. After buying the police lights, Dan posted them for sale on Craig’s List and in area newspapers. After seeing a report on 10 On Your Side about a rash of police impersonations in the Chesapeake/Portsmouth area Dan realized that because the City of Norfolk selling these lights to the public, they are enabling would-be police impersonators. Dan contacted 10 On Your Side in hopes of getting the City of Norfolk to change their policy and to see about returning the lights to them. Andy Fox stepped in and contacted the City of Norfolk. This turned out to be a 10 On Your Side success story and the city not only changed their policy, but bought the remaining lights back from Dan.
