A Cool Down is on the Way

August 4th, 2013 at 8:54 am by under Weather

We had some big storms across Hampton Roads last night. In Tasley, VA along the Eastern Shore 1.0″ hail was reported at 3:25pm. There was also a few small trees that fell in the City of Chesapeake.

This morning we were left with another great sunrise on Tower Cam:

For today we should be looking at a slightly cooler and less humid day.

Today's Pattern

Today’s Pattern

A cold front will slowly introduce the drier and cooler air over the next 36 hours across the area. Today we should be seeing high temperatures close to 84 degrees. As the dry air moves in it might create a few sprinkles and clouds for NE N.C. today around noon. The dew points will be in the upper 50s by tonight (versus in the 70s this morning).

Tomorrow we should be looking at another dry and sunny day with a high temperature near 80 degrees. Slowly this cool air will fade away and by Thursday we will probably have highs back in the 90s.

Enjoy the break from the heat!
