In TransitionJuly 31st, 2013 at 8:09 am by Jeremy Wheeler under Weather
Yesterday was nice and partly cloudy and dry and….basically just great. However, today is a transition period. We have increased the humidity and the clouds already. Temperatures won’t increase too much today, but winds will be more southerly. Highs will be in the mid 80s. We will see a few showers, but the rain will really pick up tomorrow.
An area of low pressure will move into the region and help to create scattered to occasional showers and storms. The chance for rain is about 60%. Rainfall will vary quite a bit, but I think on average the area will see about a half an inch. I’m sure a few cities will see over an inch. Then we’ll dry out for Friday and Saturday. At this time it looks like there will be more rain and storms on Sunday.
