The National Hurricane Center is watching a cluster of thunderstorms closely in the Gulf of Mexico.

Watching Two Areas

Watching Two Areas

The area of activity in the Gulf of Mexico is expected to move north into Texas bringing rainfall for that area. The other area of interest is Invest 95. (Invests are areas that the Hurricane Center is investigating for possible development.) This cluster of storms is expected to make a west track towards Puerto Rico over the next several days. Along its path it will encounter dry air coming off of the African continent and also higher levels of wind shear which will keep it weak. At this point it doesn’t look like it will develop in to anything, but we will keep an eye on it as it moves closer to that area.

Enjoy your weekend and stay cool!
