Dry This Weekend, Rain is on the WayApril 27th, 2013 at 8:59 am by Jeff Edmondson WAVY under Weather
The weather should remain quiet this weekend as an area of high pressure remains in control across Hampton Roads.
With this pattern of high pressure to our north, it will keep a light northeast wind present this afternoon and tomorrow. That breeze will keep temperatures cooler by the shores with highs in the mid 60s. Inland it will be warmer with highs making it to the 70s. That storm system near Memphis should stay away from us this weekend and only bring clouds for tomorrow.
At the Virginia Beach Oceanfromt; Team WAVY will be down supporting the March of Dimes for their annual walk along the boardwalk. The weather should be nice with a light onshore breeze.
We will see clouds in the afternoon, and possible rainfall around sunset on Sunday.
By Monday the storm will be centered off to our west. This will keep us with rain and southeast winds for most of Monday and even parts of Tuesday. Temperatures for both days will be in the 60s. Early models are hinting at 1″ to 1.5″ of rain from this storm system over the two days. This will help to really knock down those pollen counts.
Enjoy your weekend!
