All Clear for the WeekendApril 20th, 2013 at 9:03 am by Jeff Edmondson WAVY under Weather
We had a solid line of thunderstorms move across Hampton Roads last night. Most of us saw between 0.5″ and 1″ of rainfall. There was one report of some wind damage from Edenton, NC. Otherwise most of us were lucky as the severe weather and tornadoes remained off to our west. Today is going to be a day to dry out. Highs though will be much cooler compared to yesterday.
There still may be a few sprinkles for the OBX by noon today, otherwise many of us will be looking at a dry forecast at that time.
Our wind speeds should also decrease a little bit this afternoon and will be mostly NW at 5-10mph. That wind will still be cool as our highs should only make it up to 60 degrees today.
The trend is for the temperature to stay cool over this upcoming week, but at least we have some more sunshine in the forecast for Sunday.
It will feel cooler tomorrow thanks to a stronger wind coming out of the northeast. Regardless of the wind, we will have mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 50s.
Enjoy your weekend!
