The Warmest Day For A WeekMarch 23rd, 2013 at 9:00 am by Jeff Edmondson WAVY under Weather
For this Saturday we are going to see a mix of sunshine and clouds coming from a storm that will be passing us to our south.
The closest storm near Atlanta will just bring us the clouds and a sprinkle or two for the OBX today. The second storm is close to Dallas now and is expected to strengthen today. That storm system should arrive across the Tidewater tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow morning we might have a quick taste of sunshine right at sunrise. (7:03am) Then the clouds will quickly block the sun as we have a chance for some rain by tomorrow afternoon.
The rainfall should stick around for the entire afternoon on Sunday and continue all the way in to Monday. For the start of the workweek on Monday we still could have scattered showers as the cold backside of the storm moves across the region. Temperatures should stay in the mid to upper 40s tomorrow through Wednesday. Wind speeds will also pick up on Monday to be around 20mph from the North.
Over the course of the next week that North or Northwest wind will continue, so basically we will stay below normal for highs for at least another week across Hampton Roads. Normal high today is 60 degrees.
Enjoy the dry day today,
Meteorologist Jeff Edmondson
