Calmer Monday, Then More Wet Weather

Well as predicted it was an interesting weekend.  We had a lot of melting snow on Saturday, then we had cold/windy weather yesterday.  Today we’ll see much quieter weather.  High pressure is building in nicely.  Temps this morning bottomed out in the teens and 20s.  The wind was only running at about 10mph.  So wind chills weren’t terrible.

Today’s Forecast Map

Tomorrow an area of low pressure will pass to our north, but it will drag a cold front into our region.  We’ll be ahead of it most of the day, so we will warm up.  However, we will also have an increasing chance for rain showers.  We are probably looking at about another quarter inch of rain.  It’s odd to me that we are only up 0.29″ above average for the year.  It seems like it has been raining every couple of days since November.  I guess there has only been one or two big rains since then.  By the way we have had 2.79″ of rain so far for the month.  We have had 5.55″ so far for the year.

We’ll be dry for Wednesday and Thursday.  More wet weather is expected Friday into Saturday.  I don’t think we’ll see any wintry weather in either of those events.
