LMF: Noel DeLisleFebruary 15th, 2013 at 11:53 am by Kyle Bloom under THRS Live Music
The day that you have waited for has finally arrived: FRIDAY! Time to finish up this week’s work, stare at the clock for that moment you can bust out of the office and rejoice that your weekend has finally arrived. Mine time comes at 12:30p and I’m wrapping my work up by writing this blog and talking to you about our Live Music Friday featured artist, Noel DeLisle. Noel is an active duty Marine originally from Connecticut who started out his musical venture as a hard rock singer before transitioning into country after numerous suggestions from his fans. He is currently working on his debut album, Love and Loss, and is scheduled to be released later this year. You can catch him this Sunday at 97.3 Eagle’s Nest Rockin’ Country Bar in Chesapeake and click here for his full schedule. Today he performed The One To Call You Mine & Believer Out Of Me. Check it out here:
The Muzik Lounge is hosting their second live show this Saturday at Chicho’s in Chesapeake. LMF’s Holly Would… and Brother Speak are supplying an ample amount of rock along with Chivalry is Dead and From Rooftops. DJ Might E will be spinning the tunes between sets and I suggest you get there early because the place is going to be packed. Everything kicks off at 9:30p and it’s only $5 but if you really support local music, throw ‘em a 10 spot.
The Last Bison kicked off their Inheritance tour in Washington, DC last night to a SOLD OUT crowd. Anticipation is really picking up for the release of the their Universal Republic full length debut due out March 5. Tickets are going fast for all of their shows and they are one of the showcase bands in this year’s SXSW and like Kishi Bashi last year, I have a feeling they’re going to steal the festival. Tickets for their May 19th Norfolk show at the Botanical Gardens are on sale now.
That’s all for today. Hope you have a great weekend and get out there and SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MUSIC
