LMF: Dan Pellegrino – Like The Water

February 8th, 2013 at 12:10 pm by under THRS Live Music

It’s felt like forever but it’s finally here: FRIDAY!!  And what a messy Friday it is.  Rain and all kinds of water coming from all direction and speaking of water, our Live Music Friday featured artist today was Dan Pellegrino – Like The Water.  Dan has taken a break from the band scene and focusing on his acoustic solo work.  Focusing on the simple things, Dan’s songs are inspired by friends, family and the daily happenings life gives out.  Dan will be performing tomorrow night at night at Mojo Bones OV along with our good friends, Longfellow Street.  The show starts at 9p, so get down there, grab a pint and enjoy some great music.  If you forgot to hit the record button on you DVR or just want to see it again, I have his performance right here and, as always, both songs are in their entirety:

Thanks to everyone who entered our little contest for two tickets to the Defenestration Benefit Show tomorrow night at The Wesley House.  Gary Smith is the lucky winner and he and a guest will enjoy the sweet sounds of Kelsey Vivien, DJP and MrT, Uglyography, Matt Mason and Cody Pearce.  For those who didn’t win, tickets are just $5 and it kicks off at 6p.

Before I leave, I want to give a little shout out to a new blog I just discovered.  It’s not really new but it’s pretty entertaining and I pretty much  relate to the majority of it.  Woo Woo from 94.9 The Point has been blogging lately at pointradio.com and it just highlights the random things that we all have going on in our minds..(is it too early for a beer?).  It’s a pretty fun read, so after you read this click here and reward yourself with a chuckle.

That’s all for me!  Next week is the Veer Awards and tickets are going fast.  Crizti Walsh, my fellow nominee in the Best Broadcast Media (Promoting Local Music) category, and I have a little friendly wager going on.  It’s going to be a great night and I can’t wait.  I’ll give you the full recap next week and until then, SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MUSIC
