Sunny For The Morning, Snow Tonight?

February 2nd, 2013 at 9:47 am by under Weather

We had a chilly morning with many areas in the teens for AM low temperatures. Our highs today should be in the low 40s.

More than likely we will see increasing clouds this afternoon which will put on cap on the temperatures from rising too much more. At the same time we also might see a few snowflakes.

When this cold front arrives we will see a good chunk of snow sublimate or dissipate before it makes it down to the ground thanks to the dry mid-levels of the atmosphere. Since this will be happening snow totals and snow accumulations are not expected.

You can see that the moisture will quickly move offshore and we should be looking at clearing skies by tomorrow afternoon. Highs should stay in the mid-40s this weekend.

Enjoy your weekend and Happy Groundhog Day!
