LMF: Uglyography

Friday is finally here…can’t you hear the hallelujahs in the distance.  What a day this has been, I came into work this morning to find the switcher (the piece of equipment with  all of the  bright buttons that make TV magic) not working.  I reset it and it worked fine…so I thought.  At 5:45a, right in the middle of the morning show, the switcher failed.  A lot of scrambling, hair pulling and ugly TV went on for about 10 minutes before we were back up and running.  It was a bit of relief until I turned my focus to The Hampton Roads Show and things got uglier…but in a good way.  Our Live Music Friday featured artist was Uglyography, a self-described quirkadelic band from Hampton.   The boys came on the show to promote their upcoming album, Four Shafts Are Uglier Than One, and they simply rocked it.  I first met singer Matt Thomas back in October at Metafest, an awesome festival put on by the fantastic YourMusicShow.com, and we decided that the best date to come onto the show was right around the albums release.  The album will be released on Sat, Jan. 26 at an CD release party at the Hampton Taphouse with special guest The Gloom!  A great band that needs to be on your must-see list.  Trust me.  If you missed their performance on the show, no worries, I got you covered and since you asked so nicely, I’m going to give the full two song performance.  How’s that for love.

I’m going to keep it short today because I got to run.  Make sure you have a splendid weekend and get out there and see some awesome local shows.  A lot are going down and there is no excuse on why you can’t support your musical brothers and sisters.  SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MUSIC
