Meteor Shower Coming Up Tomorrow MorningJanuary 2nd, 2013 at 9:11 pm by Jeff Edmondson WAVY under Weather
The Quadrantid Meteor Shower is coming up tomorrow morning and it is usually one of the most active displays in the sky. This year it is predicted between 60-200 meteors per hour will be visible to anyone who wants to watch.
The areas best will be over the Pacific Ocean since they will be in complete darkness when the event is expected to peak around 8am EST. For us across Hampton Roads and surrounding areas we’ll have to look in the hours before sunrise tomorrow. Sunrise is just after 7am so anytime between 3am and 6am you might be able to see some of these with our partly clear skies. (Cross your fingers for clear skies)
Make sure to let your eyes adjust to the darkness. (*Which can take around 30 minutes)
