Cold and Windy TodayDecember 22nd, 2012 at 9:19 am by Jeff Edmondson WAVY under Weather
We are starting off this weekend windy. Just like yesterday we should see a strong wind out of the west/northwest at 10-20mph and gusts around 30mph. The Eastern Shore could see gusts up to 45mph. It is still because of this storm system that is lifting further to the north.
We should be looking at lots of sunshine for today and tomorrow. Since we still have the strong wind today our highs are only going to be in the 40s. With that area of high pressure moving in tonight our lows will drop to the 20s thanks to a calmer wind. Tomorrow, we should warm up to 50 which is just around average for this time of year. The snow in the high elevations will likely continue today, but it won’t be making its way here. At this point it looks like we are not going to have a White Christmas in 2012. Christmas Day should be comfortable with highs near 53 and partly sunny skies.
Enjoy your weekend!
