LMF: Holiday Gift GuideDecember 3rd, 2012 at 10:44 am by Kyle Bloom under THRS Live Music
Black Friday is done and Cyber Monday is in the rear view mirror but you still don’t know what to get the music loving loved one of yours. No worries, I have you covered. I present to you the very first Live Music Friday Holiday Gift Guide. It’s not quite up there with Oprah’s favorite things but it is all local and way better than some random candy that costs more than a VW van. So lets get started:
The winter months are closing in and the temperatures are dropping, so keep that head of yours warm with a lovely Seven Ten Oil beanie ($15). Soft and fit to rock , this beanie will keep your headbanging head warm all winter. They also have a good selection of both mens and ladies’ tees along with other goodies like koozies and stickers. Click here to check out their web store.
Vinyl is back and better than ever, so why not feed that analog fix with a couple of gems from a couple of our favorite LMF artist. The Last Bison are about to release their major label LP but you can still get their critically acclaimed debut, Quill and you can get the limited edition vinyl edition at their online store. Two versions are their to choose: an online exclusive ($35), which is limited to 150 and their tour version ($30) that they sold while on the road that is limited to 500. Grab them here and pick up a shirt too. I also hear that yo-yos will be coming soon.
Also, Kishi Bashi has a couple of vinyl editions of his vastly popular album, 151a. For $15, you can grab a limited edition white vinyl AND Kishi will throw in an MP3 version as well. You can grab that along with some pretty cool Tees by clicking this sweet little hyperlink.
Hard rockers from Hampton, Glass Cloud, just wrapped up The AP Tour and are about to head out back on the road to support Silverstein on their This Is How The Wind Shift Tour. You might want to bundle yourself while heading out in the cold to attend their show with one of their sweet hoodies. $30 gets you this awesome black, zip up hoodie that will make all of your friends jealous. Click here to pick one up for you and for your jealous friends.
Audiostrobelight, the band that brings the party wherever they go, have a great deal going on at their online store. $15 gets you their CD, The Whole Shebang, and a t-shirt. If you already have their CD, which I believe you do, then pick up their Zombie Dinosaur shirt that will guarantee that you’ll be the life of the party wherever you go. Click here to get one or ten.
These are just a small selection of the merch out there for you to grab. When you’re out seeing your favorite local band or seeing a band for the first, please buy some merch. Whether it’s a shirt or a sticker, this is how the bands are able to support themselves and how they will continue to perform their awesome original tunes to the public. So when you don’t know what to get your cousin Larry or your Aunt Mary, get them The Pawnshop Lifters’ CD or a Dahus t-shirt or better yet, take them to show. I promise they will thank you for that….and it’s way better than tube socks.
