Enjoy it While it Lasts!November 23rd, 2012 at 11:04 am by Jeff Edmondson WAVY under Weather
Doing some shopping today?
If you’re going to be outside today, it will be nice with high temperatures above normal. We should see readings this afternoon in the mid-60s thanks to a light southwest breeze. Tonight I’m expecting to see that cold front move through the area, quickly dropping our temperatures back in the 40s.
When you see fog in the morning that sometimes is a good hint that it will be sunny in the afternoon. That forecasting trick worked like a charm today. The catch is that the weather is going to become a bit more unstable tonight with the passing of that cold front.
At this point I am not expecting much of anything in terms of rainfall, but extra clouds are expected.
Also, I bet you were expecting me to say it is going to be colder this weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday highs will only be in the 40s thanks to a strong northwest wind at 10-15mph. We will have a day with a few clouds for tomorrow. Then some clearing on Saturday night. I’m also expecting the temperatures to be at or near freezing on Sunday morning for areas along the coast. Inland the lows will be in the upper 20s. On Sunday the skies will be clear with high pressure in control.
Temperatures should rebound a bit on Monday once the winds weaken.
Enjoy your Friday!
