LMF: Localpalooza 2012November 13th, 2012 at 11:09 am by Kyle Bloom under THRS Live Music
A convergence of the best local music in the area will takeover the Virginia Beach Oceanfront this Saturday. All day from 12p-2a, over 90 bands and musicians from every genre possible will be filling the VB sky with the best music Southeast Virginia has to offer. In addition to the music, event organizer Rob Devinney collected a smorgasbord of comedians, artists and vendors for this one-of-a-kind event. The Virginia Beach Funny Bone will be providing over 25 comedians and comedy troops including the world famous Pushers on their stage at Deju Blu and Lunasea will feature the artwork of Nichole Ashikis. If you thought that was it, well you’re wrong…very wrong. A video game bus will be provided by Video Vizions and setup in the 21st St. parking lot, School Of Rock will have a booth if you want to sign up your future rock stars and BRING YOUR CANNED FOOD for the Food Bank. Also bring some cash for snacks, cold beverages and the raffle that will be benefit FORKIDS. I will be out there so that means you need to be out there too! There is no better way to SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL MUSIC then by going to Localpalooza. Buy their merch and support the heck out of them and if you see any one of these guys in the pic on the right, tell them THANK YOU because they are the awesome organizers and sponsors that are putting this awesome event on.
The Live Music Friday family will be well represented as Pilot!, D*Nik, Phillip Roebuck, Brother Speak and The Fuzz Band will be all performing and a couple of future LMF guests will be there rockin’ too: Solemn Flight (December 14) and Bear Crossing (January 4) and make sure you tune in to Friday’s show as the folks from Localpalooza will be our studio audience. You might be asking where do you find the times and stage for each band’s set, no worries, as always I got you covered. Advanced tickets are available for $12 and you can get them by clicking this link or you can get them at the door for $15.
