Snow In A Hurricane?

November 9th, 2012 at 7:11 am by under Weather

I had a viewer email me and ask if there has ever been snow during a hurricane before Sandy.  Especially since it produced so much snow in some of the colder regions in the northeast.  I googled the topic and found this interesting article on Wikipedia about a hurricane that created lots of snow back in 1804.  (Snow Hurricane).

The current nor’easter is pushing away from the northeast states today.  They will get a chance to hopefully resume the recovery process.

Locally, we have some great weather headed for the region.  We did start chilly today, but the full sunshine will warm us up to the upper 50s to low 60s.  More southerly winds over the weekend will lift the highs to the upper 60s to low 70s with more sunshine.

The next chance for rain doesn’t come in until next Tuesday.  Have a great weekend.
