Frosty Morning. Lots of Sunshine Today.November 3rd, 2012 at 8:49 am by Jeff Edmondson WAVY under Weather
Clear skies, calm winds, and that low humidity allowed temperatures to really get cold this morning. Widespread frost for areas inland was a common sight this morning. In Windsor, a viewer commented that they had temperatures at 29 degrees!
For today it looks like we are going to warm up to the mid-50s this afternoon. The normal high temperature today is 65 degrees. I do not think we are going to see anything near average for this week thanks to a continual push of northwest winds.
That storm system off to our west will slide towards us today, overnight we should see increasing clouds and eventually enough clouds to bring in some light rain for tomorrow. Highs will be in the low-50s tomorrow.
Now that storm system isn’t the one we have been talking about for next week, that storm still has yet to develop. The computer models are still staying persistent about this storm for Tuesday-Thursday next week.
Regardless we are confident that this storm will not be anywhere near as strong as Sandy, but what we could see is gusty winds, heavy rainfall, and possibly minor tidal flooding. The first effects of this storm likely won’t arrive until the polls close on Tuesday.
We’ll continue to track that storm over the next few days. Don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour for Daylight Saving Time!
Enjoy your weekend!
