Signature Chefs Cook It Up For Healthy BabiesOctober 24th, 2012 at 6:43 pm by Nicole Livas under Personalities, Uncategorized
The March of Dimes raised $73,000 Sunday, October 21 at an event to benefit premature babies and their families.
The Hampton Roads Show host Ariane Aramburo joined me once again this year to emcee the Signature Chefs Auction at the Founders Inn & Spa in Virginia Beach.
Organizers say admission and silent and live auction proceeds brought in thousands of dollars that will help with research.
Local chefs donated their time and talent to cook up various dishes with a port of call theme.
Scott Simpson from the Swan Terrance won “Dish of Hampton Roads” with his unique Mexico-themed tamale dish.
He will appear on the cover of an upcoming issue of Hampton Roads Magazine.
Here’s the complete list of March of Dimes Virginia Beach Signature Chefs winners:
Best Booth: Eric Doarnberger of Atlantic Shores Retirement Community
People’s Choice: Eric Doarnberger of Atlantic Shores Retirement Community
Best Presentation: Brian Bland of Chesapeake Bay Catering Co.
Best Dessert: Matt Knack of Croc’s 19th Street Bistro
Dish of Hampton Roads: Scott Simpson of Swan Terrance at Founders Inn & Spa
WAVY & Fox 43 are proud sponsors of the March of Dimes. The organization always accepts donations of money and time.
