One More Warm DayOctober 6th, 2012 at 9:23 am by Jeff Edmondson WAVY under Weather
Get ready for a big change in our weather…it all starts tonight when the cold front arrives. First, lets look at today. It is looking like a warm and dry day with highs in the mid-80s and a south wind at 5-10mph. As the front gets closer we should see increasing clouds and the possibility for some scattered showers late this afternoon and this evening. The rain, if it does happen, would likely occur around sundown.
I expect to see the front pass through the area around 9pm. What you might notice is a wind shift and a stronger north wind behind the front as the colder air begins for rush in.
The chances for heavy rain is fairly low, but scattered light showers should prevail tomorrow and in to Monday as the front slowly moves out to sea.
The change in temperature will be great as well, today…highs in the 80s. Tomorrow, close to 63 degrees for the high.
Enjoy the warm day today…it may be one of the last days in the 80s across the area for 2012.
