Sunshine for a SundaySeptember 30th, 2012 at 8:26 am by Jeff Edmondson WAVY under Weather
Rainfall totals for September were lower than normal across Hampton Roads. We received only 1.26″ this month. Yesterday’s rain totals were a bit higher to the south of Norfolk. In Blackwater 0.50″ was observed, Suffolk also got 0.57″ or rain. For today we are going to be looking dry with clearing skies in the morning and passing clouds in the afternoon.
Tonight a few clouds might swing through from that storm to our north, some of these clouds could even produce a sprinkle. The chances for rain will be for the VA state line and north. Then tomorrow we will have to shift our attention to the next storm system moving in from Mississippi. We should only see increasing clouds tomorrow, but on Tuesday rainfall is looking likely across Hampton Roads.
From this storm expect temperatures to rise back into the 80s starting Wednesday.
Have a great Sunday!
