A Wet Start to the Weekend

September 29th, 2012 at 9:26 am by under Weather

We got some decent rainfall moving across Hampton Roads this morning. We will likely see this rain taper off in the afternoon hours. We could still see scattered showers, but nothing too heavy. Tonight more rain will arrive as another storm system moves across our area.

Rain is lighter/more scattered this afternoon.

Most of these showers are moving quickly to the east and that should continue to be the pattern today. Since we have all of these clouds and showers across the area, high temps will be near 70 today. Like I mentioned earlier, more rain is expected tonight.

Totals near 2″ possible.

It looks like the highest totals will be across NE N.C. and the Outer Banks. Tomorrow a small area of high pressure will develop which might clear out the skies in the afternoon. We could see highs in the mid 70s if we do get this clearing. Monday is also looking dry with highs near 75.
