A Little Break From the Rain

July 21st, 2012 at 10:56 am by under Weather

We had some very heavy rainfall last night. In Blackwater there was 2.75″ of rain, Toano: 1.34″, Lower E. Shore: 2.5″, Reedville: 0.20″, and at the Norfolk Airport: 0.14″.

Today we should see cooler temperatures and chances for more rain into this late afternoon and evening.

Scattered PM Storms

This wet/stormy setup will continue as a cold front begins to slowly move over the area. Today if you notice on Future Trak most of the rain will be focused from the Peninsula and south. Overnight we could also pick up an extra 1-1.25″ of rain.

Rain Ending Tomorrow

The best chances for rain on Sunday will be in the morning and then it should begin to move out in the afternoon. Our highs will still be in the mid 80s tomorrow with lots of clouds in the afternoon. That front will fade away a bit in the afternoon tomorrow which will begin to mean the return of the heat for the beginning of next week. We might see a shower or two on Monday and Tuesday when our highs will be in the low 90s again.

Enjoy your Saturday!
