LMF: 2Souls
If you haven’t heard, it’s Friday…Friday, the 13th. I’m not really a superstitious guy but I always loved those movies. Those silly Crystal Lake campers not knowing any better. Good times. It’s not
just the Friday the 13th, it’s also Live Music Friday. Our guest today was the acoustic duo of 2Souls. Jim Bilsborough and Molly Deal met a few years back singing karaoke. Jim taught Molly how to play the guitar, started writing songs and the rest is history. You can see them perform next Friday the 20th at Cotton Southern Bistro in Chesapeake…I hear the meatloaf is tasty.
Metal thunder gods from Hampton, Glass Cloud, just released their debut album The Royal Thousand under Equal Vision Records. It had taken off, hitting numero uno on the iTunes metal chart and #20 on the rock charts. They are currently on the road as part of the Scream It Like You Mean It tour. This record is a must-have for all you headbangers.
Our good buddy, Kishi Bashi, is on the road with Passion Pit and if you haven’t heard they are making a pit stop at The NorVa next Friday. If you haven’t seen Kishi yet, you need to and this is a good chance to see him if front of his hometown crowd.
In the underground radio world, one show is starting to make some noise…good, sweet, rockin’ noise. Alternative Action is a great alternative show based at ODU and airs on their radio station, WODU. Cassie Lord hosts and produces this show that features great local music and live in-studio performances. The show airs during the school year every Thursday from 9p -10p
Hope you hit up some good music this weekend. This weeks featured show is 96X’s Rockabilly Riot with SICMaN Of VA. It’s Saturday night at Mojo Bones in Ocean View. Things start getting SIC at 8p and all for just 3 bucks!
That’s all for me today. I’ll catch up with all of you next week. Cheers!

Please teach the group 2souls to tune their guitars. They were almost 20cents off.
