The weekend has come and gone and now it’s time to wake up and look ahead to another week of highs, lows, laughs, glows, work, play..and maybe a little sleep thrown in there.  This week is a favorite of mine because it’s my birthday week.  Sunday will be my 34th day of celebration and I’m probably not suppose to accept gifts but if one is thrown my way, I won’t turn it away.

It was Fuzzy Friday last week on THRS as The Fuzz Band took over the stage for Live Music Friday.  Duane Smith, Jason Jenifer, Michon David, Kabana Blaq, Nakia Madry and Tavis Simmon make this uber talented group that will celebrating their 15th anniversary this July.  You can always catch them Wednesday night as they host an open mic night called ‘Fuzzy Wednesdays’ at Palace On Plume in Downtown Norfolk.  You need to put them on your bucket list of must-see bands.

Usually when it’s ones birthday, they are the ones typically receiving gifts but since it’s my birthday week, I’m going to give a gift to you.  The gift of free music.  That’s right, FREE MUSIC.  Virginia Beach band, Rekapse, is giving away their new song ‘Miss You’ for free as a thank you for all of their fans support.  Timbaland recently just signed them to his Mosley Music Group label and they are currently at his Thomas Crown Studio recording their new album, which is scheduled for a fall release.  Keeping an ever-so important eye on his newly signed act, Timbaland tweeted out to them to make sure they were taking care of his pride and joy.
