Hey everybody!  It’s been about 10 days since we’ve last spoken and I profusely apologize.  I was away from blogville for a few days while I attended my sister’s wedding.  It was a beautiful event up in Highlands, NC.  The bride was stunning as well as the groom and the rest of the bridal party…and my boy did pretty well as the ring bearer.  Now onto the music.

The only part I was bummed about missing was our Live Music Friday guest last Friday.  Seth Stainback was our guest and he tore it up with two songs from his new album, Earth and Worm.  If you missed his performance, don’t worry, you can catch it right here.

Our good friends from New Zealand, Like A Storm, have stormed back through town fresh off their very successful tour with Creed.  They are playing several private shows for their fans…in their homes!  They have been doing this for some time, where they go into their fan’s houses and play for them and their friends.  I’ve been invited to attend a couple of these shows and I’ll be heading out to one of them Saturday afternoon, so look for a full report here next week.

Our good friend Skye Zentz, who was our Live Music Friday during our special OpSail 2012 show, will be having a CD release party tomorrow for her awesome new album, Bird Heart.  It will be at 757 Creative Spaces on Granby Street from 7p-10p.

Make sure you tune in this Friday as we welcome The Fuzz Band as our Live Music Friday guest.  Each Wednesday, they host ‘Fuzzy Wednesdays’.  Tonight it will be featuring Vernon Gordon and Elevated Worship.  It kicks off at 8p in Downtown Norfolk at The Palace On Plume.
