Looking Perfect for Father’s Day
That area of high pressure remains in control again today keeping Hampton Roads with a good amount of sunshine. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s for this Sunday.
Once that area of high pressure moves offshore then we will begin to see a south wind. This will actually start tomorrow, but by Tuesday and especially Wednesday that’s when the humidity and heat will return to the area. Tuesday we could see a stray thunderstorm from that cold front. On Wednesday, highs are likely to be back at 90 degrees with partly cloudy skies.
Back to today; If your you have plans to be outside it should be pleasant this afternoon.
The only exception will be the onshore winds. That is going to keep the rip current risk high again today with the East Windswell producing 3-4ft waves.
The UV Index is also high at 9 today. Have a Happy Fathers Day and enjoy this cooler weather while we have it.
