Great Weekend!

Lynnhaven Inlet

This morning started off wonderful.  We did have some isolated showers last night, but they fizzled out before sunrise.  Then we had some great weather.  The OpSail ships were docked near Lynnhaven Inlet in Virginia Beach.  The Parade of Sail this morning has great weather.  Today we’ll have mostly sunny skies with highs in the low/mid 80s.  Winds will be light and out of the west/northwest.  Highs pressure will build in strong for the weekend.  This will allow for a lot of heating and fair weather.

Today's Forecast

With strong high pressure building in, we will have dry conditions for several days straight.  Luckily the humidity won’t be too bad today and tomorrow.  By Sunday the humidity will build, and that’s when we’ll have some hot 90s showing up across the region.  It will be good Summery weather.  A back door cold front will try to move in around Monday, but it looks like it will stall out just north of the region.  If it stalls out over Hampton Roads, then we may see some cooler weather, but for now I bet on Warm.

Have a great weekend.  Hop on down to OpSail in Norfolk.  I’ll be down there this Saturday meeting and greeting people along with Don Roberts.  (Midday).
