Here comes the heat!
We had a spectacular day today. The High temperature made it to 78 degrees, which is actually below average for this time of year. (Normal is 82 at Norfolk) I was able to get out in the surf at the beach today with the 1-3ft waves, not bad at all. Now looking ahead in to the next few days it looks like we are going to warm up!
That area of high pressure is going to keep the majority of the country, including us, dry for the next several days ahead. With the abundance of sunshine we are also going to see our temperatures increase each and everyday. Tomorrow (Friday) our highs will be in the lower 80s by the afternoon, but don’t get tricked cause we will still have that refreshing cool air in the morning with the low near 61. If you going to be watching the Parade of Sail temperatures at start will be near 73, into the end of the parade temps should be near 81.
This weekend for OpSail conditions are still looking dry but warmer and more humid.
I’ll be out there likely on Sunday, but an early look at the weekend promises plenty of sunshine and highs near 90.
Enjoy your Friday and the weekend!
