A Cooler and Calmer weekend.
Well the cold front has finally moved through, but what it left behind was some nasty destruction across the city of Hampton. The National Weather serviceĀ gave an early estimate that this tornado had winds at 85mph which would categorize it as a EF-0. There were many pictures and videos that were sent in, too many to show here so I’ll give you a link to the slideshow on our website:
Now for today, things will feel less humid thanks to the northwest wind that we will have at 5-15mph. This wind may feel like a free air conditioner compared to the heat and humidity we have had the last week across Hampton Roads.
The storm system is becoming closed off to our north towards Ontario, so looking ahead for the next few days will will continue to have the influence of this setup. Our forecast this next week is going to be cooler and less humid than last week. Its almost going to be average for this time of year.
We will likely have increasing clouds on Sunday, but the biggest thing to watch for is the afternoon sprinkles. Its not going to be much at all, and I would not let it change your plans, but some areas may get wet. On Monday things will likely be dry with more sunshine and highs near 80. If your a fan of the lower humidity, enjoy the upcoming week!
