Clearing and Cooler this Evening, Nice this Weekend

We had a decent line of thunderstorms move across the area early this morning. Some areas saw around 0.5″ of rainfall with gusts around 40mph. Now as the cooler air continues to moves in tonight we will likely bottom out around 39 degrees thanks to the dry air and the clear skies. This weekend is looking stable, especially for Saturday.

Saturday Weather

With that area of high pressure in control its looking likely that we should have an abundance of sunshine  and fairly calm winds near 5-10mph from the Northwest. High temperatures should be in the mid 50s. On sunday, that cold front to our west will push by which will keep things cooler with highs near 50 and possible a few extra clouds. Right now the chances for rain are not very high for Virginia on Sunday, possible to our north in Maryland though.

Enjoy your weekend!
