I was contacted by a viewer who needed help with an abandon vehicle that was left in her driveway. The vehicle was a older model FORD truck with FARM USE tags on it.
The vehicle had been sitting her in driveway for about 4 months and the viewer had no idea who it belonged to or how it ended up in her driveway. After contacting the city herself without any success, she contacted 10 On Your Side. I was able to step in and call the city on her behalf.
By that afternoon, the Sheriff’s office had been notified and the vehicle had been towed!
Here’s the e-mail that I received from the viewer after contacting the city:
Do you get the job done or what!! My answer is yes, quick, fast, and in a hurry; no time wasted. It gives me great pleasure to say “it’s gone”! Thanks to you. WAVY-TV10 is on my side and you all had my back.

Born and raised in the Hampton Roads area. I graduated from ODU with a BS in Sports Marketing. Fell into the media lifestyle and have been with WAVY for over 5 years!
In Janruary of 2008 I heard a commercial advertised on the radio inviting customers to puchase a brand new Dell computer through Blue Hippo Funding. I called and placed an order. According to the information given, once the computer has been paid in full, it will be shipped within 3-5 weeks. I never missed a payment and finished paying for the computer in Jan. of 09. To date, I have yet to receive my new lap top Dell computer with all the free gifts offered.
I contacted the company numerous times, and had been placed on hold forever. The company also has very poor customer service. Finally, I contacted the Better Business Bureau online and filed a complaint. The BBB’s report gave the company a credit rating of “F” for numerous violations.
My problem is I continue to hear the radio advertisements. Many people are not receiving the products they have paid for. It has been 6 months, and frankly I am running out of patience. I purchased this computer for my daughter who is about to go off to college in the fall. I have paid almost $2,000.00 for this computer.
Is there any way we can get the word out to the public not to purchase these Blue Hippo Computers?
