Burst Your Bubble

Well the magical Norfolk bubble didn’t really work last night.  (see previous blog).  However, it did move a little southeast though.  Norfolk International got 0.11″ of rain last night.  Don in Toano reported no rain.  Jan in Reedville reported 0.3″.  Doris on the lower Eastern Shore had a quarter of an inch.  Greg in Currituck had .1″ and says he still needs rain badly for the crops.  We even had hail reported in Suffolk last night.

This was from Kathleen Powell in Suffolk.  A strong storm moved through there during the evening.   Also check out this awesome photo from Dean Heald in the Carrollton area.

So we did get some scattered storms as a cold front moved on through.  Today we’ll reap the benefits.  Lots of sunshine and lower humidity.  A second cold front will approach from the Northwest tonight.  We could get a few spotty showers out ahead of it until early Sunday morning.  But it’s always tough to get showers when fronts come through back to back.  So I don’t expect much.  Have a great weekend!
