Sunday’s washout led to a record at Norfolk International Airport.  The National Weather Service sent out a statement saying that Sunday’s rainfall totaled 1.21.”   The previous record was 1.13″ set back in 1898.  Too bad the rain fell on a weekend, but it was beneficial for our gardens.  The rainy weather made for a great “movie day” to spend inside too.

Showers will linger Monday morning for parts of the area.  Be sure to carry your umbrella.  Expect slow clearing from northwest to southeast during the day.
