Not Done Yet

We have one more day of thunderstorms and then things are going to change.  It’s about time!  A strong cold front is finally going to push through later this evening.  Out ahead of it temps will shoot up into the 90s and dewpoints (humidity) will be in the upper 60s.  this will be ample fuel for scattered strong/severe thunderstorms.  They are expected from the mid afternoon through the evening.  The Storm Prediction Center has us under a slight risk…again…I think this is 8 days out of 10 where we’ve had that.

The main threats will be heavy rain, lightning, and possibly damaging wind.  Hail and an isolated tornado will also be a threat, but lower.  Tomorrow will be great outside.  Partly cloudy witih highs in the 70s.  We will even be in the 60s for highs on Monday.  So you know there are big changes coming.  By the way, we’ve had over 15 inches of rain for the year so far.  That is still about 3 inches below the average for the year.  We are over 1 inch above average for the month though.  No surprise there.  Things are looking good in the Wheeler yard.  Now…I have to cut the grass.
