I was in Texas for the week of March 9 undergoing training. This is something that I do every year. I go to the Bell Helicopter Factory Course for pilots. It is a one week course that is by invitation only from Bell. It is called the Professional Pilot Course.

That covers my check ride that the FAA requires to maintain proficiency as well as recertification on my Night Vision Goggles, and my Instrument proficiency.

I know that may be hard to understand. Let’s just say this, that training is the best in the world and gives me the ability to bring you, our viewers, the latest breaking news in the safest manner possible.
