From Sesame Street to the Old Country
Ernie and Bert took some time away from their neighborhood to hang out at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg (and give hugs).
They’re getting geared up for the new Sesame Street Forest of Fun at the theme park.
During this special tour members of the media put on hard hats and walked to the site that’s all abuzz with construction.
Here’s what you’ll get to see and do when the park opens on March 28: have breakfast or lunch with Elmo and the other Sesame Street characters, watch the characters in the 4-D movie, “Sesame Street presents Lights, Camera, Imagination.” at the Globe Theatre.
Then, when the Forest of Fun attraction officially opens on April 3, you can visit the Sesame Street gang and explore the newest attraction in the England section of Busch Gardens.
There are four new rides, including “Grover’s Alpine Express”, a cool pink and green junior roller coaster that parents and children can ride together. (This is perfect for big kids like me who are scared of roller coasters).
There’s also Elmo’s Castle performance stage and wet playground, Bert and Ernie’s Loch Adventure flume ride and Oscar’s Yucky Forest playground.
The kid zone will also feature 1-2-3 Smile with Me! photography studio with Sesame Street characters. Don’t worry about the other kids’ areas going away.
The Forest of Fun is just an additional place to take the little ones at the park.
