Forecast On Track

I think we are on track with the current forecast.  Lots of sun today with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s.  Light winds.  Not bad out in the sun.  The setup for tomorrow looks consistent with the previous blog.  A weak offshore low brings some morning clouds and a few coastal showers.  Maybe a few sleet pellets or a few flakes of snow with that.  We’ll see a break where the sun could pop out for a bit.  Then in the afternoon the cold front approaches from the west.  Scattered showers out ahead of the front will move in.  There may be a brief period where the cold catches up to the rain.  That would be in the late afternoon or early evening.  Then we may have another brief batch of mixed precipitation on the western edge of the showers.  The best chance for the mix would be on the Northern Neck and Eastern Shore.  Maybe on the Middle Peninsula too.  Model temperatures are still very warm though with highs in the 50s before the front arrives.  The models actually agree somewhat for tomorrow.  That’s a nice change of pace.

We’re back to the cold on Monday.  Highs will be in the upper 30s to near 40.  It will be pretty windy Sunday afternoon through Monday as well.
