Local Bowl Weather And Quick Update
We get so focused on these big systems sometimes that we forget what else is going on. So if you are travelling around town on Sunday for the game, then here’s the local forecast. We’ll see Mostly sunny skies through the day. Highs will be in the upper 50s. Very nice! Temps will probably be in the lower 50s/upper 40s for most of gametime. Clouds will increase a little in the evening. So great weather for Sunday. I’m cooking meatballs in a crock pot for an appetizer and taking it over to Andy’s house. My wife got me into using barbecue sauce with grape jelly. Call me crazy, but it tastes great.
As far as the mess on Tuesday… The models have generally trended more east with the surface low and colder. I won’t go into detail, but this increases the odds for seeing some snow. Jon moved his snow hope up to a 6. We’ll have to see what Don Slater thinks in tonight’s forecast. I’m not AS skeptical for snow now, but it’s still even too far out for the NAM to forecast. I’ll give a bigger update over the weekend. The forecast will be in the realm of the NAM, and I’d like to see if the models trend it even further offshore. Hope I’m not teasing, but I just think that a lot will change by tomorrow.
Hi Jeremy. My husband and I would like to know why there is such a difference between the forecast given in the morning and the one on the 6 o’clock broadcast. John says snow and Don says no. My hope is yes, yes, yes. But the differences seem to happen a lot. Regardless WAVY is the best. Y’all keep up the good work. And you’re right…the meatballs with grape jelly and chili sauce is the best.
Have a great weekend and we’ll see you Sat. morning.

Hey Jeremy, I’ve been using jelly in meatballs for years, my grandmother used to do it. I am now using strawberry jam, I know it’s crazy, but it tastes great. Anyway, enjoy the game and go Cardinals!!!
Jeremy,
For the meatballs, try this once. I jar of Heinz Chili Sauce (In the condiment isle with the mustard and catsup)and one can of Oceanspray “Jellied” Cranberry sauce. I’d say maybe two pounds of meatballs or so. It’s great too.
J.W., could you please let us down here on the Outer Banks know if there is any chance of seeing any snow form this potential storm in you blog discussion this weekend? There are some of us down here that love to read your blog. I very much appreciate your dedication to let those of us that can not get enough info on the weather happenings and model discussions.
I will let you know what, if anything, is happening down here on Colington Island in Kill devil Hills during the storm when I can! Thanks again J.W.
