Windy Eh?

We had some strong wind gusts this evening. A wind gust was estimated at 60mph at the Suffolk Airport and at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront by the public. We haven’t seen a lot of damage reports. A couple of trees down in North Carolina around Nash County. A little power line damage in Virginia Beach around highway 60 and 279 was reported by the National Weather Service. Abot 6000 people were without power in Southeast Virginia at the time of this writing. But they work quickly so that number will go down I’m sure. Winds behind the line quickly drop off. Should be a quiet cooler night. Low temps in the mid 30s after highs near 70.

Yes, that windstorm we had was VERY strong in Williamsburg. I had just sat down to begin new homework of the new semester when the wind started to pick up just a little with some rain. The wind continued to grow stronger and stronger. It was hitting our window so hard I was little afraid it might burst. It was reallllllly cool!
