Light rail will stop you on Brambleton Ave.

Starting Tuesday, January 13th, a portion of Brambleton Avenue will be closed. It’s all because of the light rail project underway in Norfolk. And that could add plenty of minutes to your commute if you’re not prepared.
Through January 23, Brambleton Avenue at I-264 near Norfolk State University will be closed from Park Avenue to the I-264 West off-ramp just before the I-264 overpass. The I-264 West off-ramp (Exit 11B) westbound on Brambleton Avenue will be closed, and the I-264 East on-ramp located on Brambleton Avenue eastbound will be closed. All other ramps to I-264 on Brambleton Avenue will remain open.
